"Levi's Lost Calf" by Amanda Radke & Michelle Weber...GIVEAWAY!!!

In May we were contacted by Amanda Radke of Nolz Limousin.  She had just finished writing a children's book entitled "Levi's Lost Calf" and was hoping we would be able to work up a PBD rendition of Little Red.  After scouring the shops for the right colored mink we finally found the perfect fit for Levi's favorite little heifer and got to work.

It's hard to believe but she is in even cuter in person and Amanda loves her as much as we did.

Amanda shipped us the book as soon as it came off the press and my girls absolutely love it!
The illustrations are beautiful and the glimpse into cowboy life was
enthralling to my kindergarten students as well.

The most exciting news?

My favorite show heifer was named after the Mean Girl's character, Regina George!

We love our "Little Red!" She is the missing heifer in the book and the pair make a great little package to take on our book signing tour.

    LOVE PBD!!!!

  5. I had show calves in 4-H, but that was over 40 years ago so I don't remember any names! I just remember my dad always let us pick out a calf that we thought was cute!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. Mine was Moonbeam. My dad raised her and she lived for 15 years. I will never forget coming home from church camp and my dad saying he thought he had one good enough for me to show. She was my first show heifer and she is the reason we started showing cattle again. She is my favorite because she was family and created so many great memories for our family in the barn and in the show ring.
